The snorkel worked great, considering the fact that the intake and air filter were under water for a bit, everything in there was bone dry.
As for the water/future rust in the rest of the body, I have bigger issues, the entire back has been attacked by rust for a while and the bondo job the p.o. had done finally revealed the entire damage. Currently I am looking for a Southern FJ with no/little rust because it is not worth spending the time and money into mine (already have too much as it stands). Yea that was a nice rock, still can't figure out how the front made it over that.

well i finally got my junk back together .i've just been having trouble getting the front drive shaft figured out .must of twisted the splines also in there or something ,i just finished separating the two halves using a BFH .everything looks good but the darn thing won't slip at all . ended having to mix and match my spare parts until i found something that was useable ,done :grinpimp: ready for another day . where's the next trip

I'm considering that too, Mat. My truck is farked with rust. I don't know whether to buy a JDM or a southern 60 or just transplant my 2H, H55 into my fj40.

What to do, what to do.

Great pix! Thanks.

Ah, yes, thanks. My wife REALLY likes this idea. I do need a fifth vehicle.

Your wife is cool :grinpimp:
I'm up to 5 now. And I think I need an HDJ81. And another motorcycle. My wife doesn't care but she does think I'm a goof.
Hard to argue...

Time to change the handle Norm... maybe "bj74_guy" ;p
GG

Oh, I see you have already started the process.

Well, I bought an Arizona FJ62 via Kamloops this week.

What a beauty, no rust. I didn't realize that Toyota painted inside the frame either until I was looking at this truck. It is CLEAN.

See - you DID need a 5th vehicle!

(where are the pics?)

Yes, I did need a fifth vehicle. :)

I haven't taken any pictures yet. I need to do a couple of things first to personalize it.

Maybe this weekend.

lift this one before you shred it
I heard it was a nice example of what a solid Cruiser should look like

It is true! I have actually uploaded some pics. Sorry about the delay, but since I have been forced to sit at home for the past couple of days (sick), I finally had the chance to do something other then work. Happy viewing. I'll be getting a couple more things on there in the next few days.
