@geo5 looks like I’ll be seeing you a lot 😂👌

I didn’t sign up for anything M-W but I’ll be down there camping and doing some u official wheeling. If anyone else wants to Basecamp it up with me prior to Wednesday checkin let me know!
Awesome!! Looking forward to it Ben

Side note if anyone needed some hype…I’m here right now. Just took the fam up to hurah last night and most of the way to chicken corners. Saw a bunch of cyber trucks doing Sun salutations down there..

Looks awesome down there, I've never been south of Idaho =[ I want to experience this landscape, but I'm not a fan of huge groups so a big Moab event doesn't sound too appealing.... Maybe sneak down there another time.....one day....maybe...

The landscapes in Utah are epic. Lots of places to avoid people and cell service.Check out Goblin Valley State Park and surrounding BLM areas. One of the darkest places in the US. Much quiter than Moab. Cruise Moab is fun because of the other Cruiserheads. Fun to geek out on all the Cruisers and gear.

Goblin Valley State Park really is a gem. The caves are neat. I only explored the smaller one when I was there. Next time I'll bring my climbing gear to get (safely) into the larger one.

(I'm sure you can get in and out of the larger cave without gear, but that's a stupid risk to take in such a remote area.)

It'd be great to do another over-nighter. I did Lockhart in '22 and am thinking about San Rafael Swell this year.
I had to turn around on Porcupine Rim a few years ago (not a CM trip) and have always wanted to finish it. Done Hell's a bunch of times but not at night so looking into that. Top O the World is on my list too........
I'm hoping to be in town a few days early to beat myself up on my MTB before I beat up the Lexus. We need to have a 406 Run(s)!!!
I will be running kokopelli Monday Tuesday if you want to join.
Thank you

It all does look pretty awesome and I'm sure there are endless places to hide away. But that being said a quick google map search of Goblin State Park revealed like almost 30k pictures lol. Trying to find places where swarms of people haven't already taken selfies of .

I will have room, but I haven't decided what day I'm leaving yet. You still need a lift?
i might be taking the spider, might be taking the gambler. ill know more after this weekend. depends

Sad news, we won't be making CM24. Bummed to miss this one but we will get down their soon!

What do y’all do for dinner each night? Cook in camp? Go out in Moab?

Any need to bring maxtracks?

Sorry @ttFJC I would totally give you a ride to Lockhart start but I’ll be leaving from Denver not BZN on 4/15.

Moab has good restaurants, but wait times can be sometimes long and cost adds up over a week. I usually hit up Moab Brewery and maybe Milt’s one night, and cook my own meals at camp the other nights. Don’t forget your CM registration comes with BBQ dinner Friday night.

As for Maxtrax, there’s a fair bit of sand around Moab. You could go out and bury yourself. And some guys use maxtrax on rocks. :meh:

+1 for Moab Brewery 😎

I made dinner for myself most nights. There’s a couple decent places my fav was the bbq joint. My brother and I hit up the little food truck circle downtown about five times the taco truck was VG and relatively cheep

Camping at the event site- anyone getting there earlyish Wednesday can grab a big ol’ spot for us?

I might be getting in late wed aft from Lockhart.

Trucks?-
@mccracken
@90WT
@ttFJC
@use2bn83
@uzimuffin
Who else?

I think @CCRider is posting up at KOA for the pool scene

should we bring a bunch of firewood?

After Tuesday with @SteadfastRocky I figured I’d go through my tool bag before Moab…it was quite a facepalm…I seem to be just tossing whatever I’ve used over the last three years in there.
Aside from your worthy floor jack, you’ve got the most vital tool sitting on top of your spare. 🥃 It should solve almost any problem you might encounter 😵
