**********YOU HAVE A CHARGING SYSTEM ISSUE.**********
The flashing dash lights are telling you that YOU HAVE A CHARGING SYSTEM ISSUE.
This has NOTHING to do with Cruise control.
The CC cancelling is a byproduct of the flashing dash lights because YOU HAVE A CHARGING SYSTEM ISSUE.
This has been documented 100s of times.

I assume you checked the items I mentioned in post #2.
I also assume you had your alternator tested before ordering a replacement.
If your alternator was faulty, the most common cause is worn brushes which can be replaced for around $20. Again, mentioned in post #2.

Alternator replaced, cruise works! I had replaced the stock alternator with a higher current one, so it would a have been a pain to take it out and find replacement brushes with it being me only means of transportation.
