Hi All,

Seeing the article is out in the trials, figured I could start posting the other photos from the trip seeing we have well over 300 between the few of us that went. Don't really have time to organize them all, so figure I would start off posting my photos, then Adams, then posibly Martins (if he agrees) which are spread out start to finish.

You will be able to follow Martins article and get a better idea of what kind of struggle it was to get through that trail through the pictures.

Enjoy.

first three starting out winding down to the creek wash out.

Getting tired of chainsawing the downed trees so started driving over a bunch to make up time, and some off-camber.

more washouts and off cambers we had to dig a little to make crossing them more comfortable.

More washouts and creek crossing where we finished day one just before the big hill. Note I was the guy that took the least photos, so there are quite a few more cool ones from the other guys, so I am missing some parts of the story in my photos, but be patient, I will get to all over the next week or so.:hillbilly:

Got a bit of snow overnight as we slept, and it was snowing a bit as we drove up the big hill that scared (I guess it was more the fact of the fresh snow fall on it) most of the CC members away from following us in that day.

I'll end er here for now at the sign warning of the big hill that we just drove up, and the accumulating fresh snow as we wind our way through the tight trees.

Adam crossing over the snow drift instead of following us through the tight trees of the swamp bypass that the was built on my first trip on the windy ridge back in 2003 or so. Then Marting following me first through a big snow drift, then the tracks over a swampy section.

Martan crossing the flooded sections, then Adam giving it a bit of splash as it was a fairly solid bottom.

Still haven't seen the article, but I sure like seeing these photos. Haven't looked through that set in a while. Good times.

Nice pictures! I have been looking forward to doing that trail for years. Hoping next year I can take a week and do it and some of the Chilcootins.

Thanks, if your taking your 80, take your time, the trees are tight! Just cause Adams full size made it through doesn't mean dents won't happen, I am always amazed what kind of quad trail that guy can squeeze that monster through, I think there is one photo Martin took of his girlfriend Amanda pulling a small tree (not a tiny tree, one that would impeed movement if one were to try to drive it over) so the bronco could fit, then I know he said he had to get out once let amanda drive it through and he was standing where the top and tub meet pushing a tree back with his arms so he wouldn't dent his truck badly.

Here are a few more of us getting to the blockage where we decided to try poison mountain route as we didn't figure we could get past this huge snow drift that spread for a long way to mud lakes.

We decided best not try to chew up the creek or the medoaws trying to go around the drift, but we soon found climbing up to poison that we were going to hit a lot of snow drifts as well.

First is me letting the big bronco go ahead to try to break trail as the depth of snow was getting big and I didn't have the turbo back then, so I didn't have the power to hammer through. Later we found that powering usually got us too burried in the deep wet snow. Adam has a few of his getting burried so will get to those later, but then the next two are us starting on the mud lakes snow drifts the next day after we gave up the poison mt route, then the last is us at the first mud lake when we still thought we were invincible.:hillbilly:
