Chris, you are so blessed. You are allowing this to happen as you understand the beautiful mechanical idealology that represents the pinnacle of mechanical achievement before electronics. (Or you just got seduced by her as she's amazing ) You are providing for artisans who still have the skill, to exercise their talents in dying arts for this passion. That not only helps them, but all of us as long as it lasts.

I've been teaching my 13 yr old daughter to drive in my 60. She also sees the magic of the 60 series Land Cruiser.
Ya...idk if its that deep lolol. I just always wanted to restore a vehicle...and the 60 has been instumental in the rehab of my cabin while at the same time givin me flashbacks to my 1st vehicle...a 1978 red Toyota Truck...5 speed. Had lotta great memories in that rig..... once I pulled the trigger to restore the 60....I opened a can of worms I cldnt put the lid back on and the can grew and grew and grew and grew and grew and grew 🤣😂🤣😂😅

After all this work, I'd be too neurotic to take this thing into the bush. I may have to make the conscious decision to just rattle can my pile and just keep having fun with it. 🤣
Are you gonna keep yours on pavement once you get it back?

HA! Been thinking about this ALOT recently. This work with @kelly saad is also only the 1/2 way point. It then travels to @TRAIL TAILOR to perform a list so long it makes my head spin. Im not really an off road kinda guy, but had plans for exploring the old mining roads of Colorado and ofc to get me to my cabin at 9600ft in the winter. Not even sure im gnna want to drive this thing in the winter...i find myself looking thru 60 Classifieds often and just may end up with another rig, whether it be a 60, an 80 or a 100!!

My plan is a two tone camo rattle can paint job. I think it will look decent enough, protect the metal, be cheap and easy to touch up if damaged. I'd be scared taking a nice paint job into the bush, but it sounds like yours fits your needs perfectly.

No way my rig will ever see winter road salt again. Dings and dents are easily fixed but widespread rotting from the inside out... not gonna happen on mine. My winter vehicle is the "rebuilt" 2000 4runner that was in a major accident so will never be straight again. But it is mechanically sound and really capable off road.

After some investigation I'm gonna go with Llumars Formula1 Stratos Window tint. Works out great as the shop is only 4 miles from @kelly saad shop!!! So stoked and cant wait to see quality tint on UBER quality Freeeeeeeeborn Red!!! #GettingCloser

This is why I kept mine with the original paint job. I thought about driving off pavement and have too many trees and brush too worry about… plus I like the patina look. From 5-10’ away it’s looks great.
