I had missed that they had performed crash tests on the 460 for 2023. A member on CL pointed me to them.

It hurts to see all that carnage. 🫣

What happens to the crash-tested GXs? Are there 8.2's available for me to swap into my 470? Or do they go to the crusher whole?

My wife and neighbor were disgusted with me a few months ago when a 5th gen T4R was totaled in front of our house (another driver pulled out in front of them - zero injuries for either party luckily). After realizing that everyone was safe and emergency responders had arrived, I quietly uttered "ooh there is a good 8.2 that I can use".

5216.137 lbs as delivered, good reference point. 52.4% front / 47.6% rear isn't too bad at all, either.

169 pages will take me a long time to actually dig through but it looks like a lot of the data I'm seeing from a quick look is very good in favor of the results. I.e., not that likely to sustain injury from a common impact.

Pretty cool to see the graphic w/ all the air bags inflated. I dd a 2009 Honda Fit and have planned for our son/daughter to use as their first car in 3 years, but the lack of mass and physical size have always been a concern.

Those G loads on the neck! I guess the short duration is what makes this a survivable situation.

The real question is did you have the balls to ask the T4R driver about buying that 8.2 from him / her?

I most definitely did not :)

Another option would be to rent a 5th gen T4R (Enterprise does have them sometimes) and swap the 8" for the 8.2" in my driveway.

Would anyone ever even know?
