This thing is, ugly, clapped out, and beat up. Maybe worth 1K for the suspension parts, other than that, its trashed. I would rather buy a clean rig for $5K and put a few grand into suspension, tires and have AC and windows that work. Best line ever,

"This puppy's pulse is pumping 4.5 liters of uncensored raw fuel through her straight six nuclear power plant"

I guess he has never driven a modern rig with a V8 and real horsepower, or is referring to the decommissioned nuclear plant at san onofre with a fuel leak.

speaking of "finds" I just spotted Harley! in my kitchen.

Beers for both of you!!!

Center diff switch $35, this is a good price.

Some good 37" tires my cousin is trying to sell.

In tears here !!!

3 watts for $30? Better to but an external antenna on the 5 watt me thinks.
It's "tri-power" - can run it at 8 watts, 4 watts, or 1 watt. 8 watts is high, didn't think they allowed it over 5W in a handheld but whatevs.

What I meant was the earlier model was 5 watts and if one had one they might be more cost efficient just getting a better antenna?

They are about the same price if not more. This one also comes with a longer antenna, notice I didn't say better though cause who knows. Reviews are pretty good on this one, some claim they gotten 6 miles and the power test showed just over 8 watts. Plus you say 3 watts, I say 60% more POWAH!

POWAH isn't everything The often taken for granted antenna and placement plays more into the equation than most mere mortals (yes even those with an extra 3" in front and fresh oil) give it credit for

Placement? We're talking about a $30 handheld radio. 🤣 If you don't have a portable solution, get one. If you do, don't.
