Oh my…

I thought they were fakes as I didn’t think the HE wheels were TRD, but apparently they are

"selling way below market because I don't have the space"

Proceeds to display them against the wall of a barn with a perfectly manicured pebble path in Santa Monica. This is 1000% a scam.

Possible…

I have ample space here, on paper anyway

Wife doesn’t share same enthusiasm for my parts collection activities, even though I have room

I often give stuff away here so I don’t have to hear her barking that our yard looks like Sanford and sons

what is the objective / end goal if it is a scam? I would assume a potential buyer would go look in person and not hand over the money unless all is good?

Agree. If it was an online thing involving shipping I’d be wary, but If it’s an in person deal, I’d be fine with it

typically they ask for a deposit to hold it, like 250 bucks, then give a fake address

related question. I am considering buying a part from FB marketplace. It would be shipped to me. What is the best way (if any) to safely purchase? I was thinking paypal goods and services (not friends and family), but I am reading a bunch of negatives on that as well. Maybe the only safe method is face to face unfortunately. Advice?

Facebook marketplace to me is like the old trader publications. You’d wait until Thursday get a fresh copy and show up with cash as quickly as possible. The idea of not buying in person just seems more prone to scamming. @Supra Turbo this one’s for you.
