Found an ad for Rock Warriors on CL. Thought some folks on here might be interested. I’ve got too many already.

Good luck gents.

"3 slightly bent and one with a minor crack, best offer" - wow these dudes send it.

He sure does. He bent the frame on his Tundra too. He’s been hoarding RW’s for like 5 years but he’s giving up and switching to more readily available wheels since he keeps bending them. Hahaha.

Decisions, decisions. Would require to purchase new tires and I only have 5k miles on my current set...

But then you'll have TWO sets! I don't see the dilemma... :wacky:

Here's a guy in Temecula with 19 Rock Warriors! @Markuson you need any more? 🤣

:slap: Oops! I have been trolling the Tundra forums looking for some interesting things and was surprised to run across his RW cache.
Let us know if you find anything interesting!!

Thats a bit of a crack rock price on them though. Just picked up two complete sets with lugs, one set that is super clean with pretty worn tires, one set of rims only where one has some pretty good scratches, for $1050. Thats right - 8 wheels for $1050.

Did you ever source those reconditioned rims from "source not to be named by you"?

No I didnt, since by the time I would have bought the rings, hardware, and center caps they would have come out to around $1k a set and my local guy who could have made me some sweet custom rings is busy, but they would have been basically new.

Here is a hint on how to find cheap Rock Warriors. Google search by the salvage yard interchange number, not the part number. Thats what the resellers use and you can pick sets up pretty cheap from used or reconditioned sources.

How do you find the salvage yard interchange number for parts? That seems like a good tip for all manner of parts.

Aluminum Alloy Wheel, Rim 17x8 - 69574

I'm guessing he's referring to that 5 digit ID. I used Hollander's part lookup and it provided me with that. No clue if it really helps to find cheaper wheels, I don't shop these things. I messed around with some other make/model wheels to see if Googling the # worked, it did. Tried it with some engine blocks and interior pieces, that did not work. So maybe I did not actually locate said interchange #?

ALY69574U30, PTR4534070 - let your fingers do the walking. They are low stock but certainly out there for around $125/ea no trim rings at that price. Perfect for a spare where you don't care about the trim ring or to replace a damaged wheel.

I think you might have cleaned them out. I checked around and can't seem to find any left at a reasonable price. The one shop that responded said they are all out of stock. In any case, they are either salvage or reconditioned (?) and always missing the bead ring - what's up with that?
