Lenny and/or Daryl. Can ya'll email/sext me some idea of what we're doing this weekend? I'm getting antsy and everytime I look at Lorena all i wanna do is picture her with her top off, exposing her thingies.

I wanna get your ideas about freeing up this suspension. I'm guessing pull the sway bars, do the removable bolt thing on one of the front lca's, maybe some shock mods... What ever you wannd I'm up for

Sliders are done ! That's sweet! Now we can concentrate on the cage.

Do you have seats that you want to put in? If so bring em! Needed to measure head clearances for roll bar and door bars. Hopefully we will have time to tie them into cage.

You plan on bringing front fenders ? Hopefully we have time to figure out that mod as well

Do you have winch that you want to mount? If so bring it, no need for the cable or rope.

Do you have the fuzzy dice you want to Hang from the cage? Bring em!

Got word from E! He coming !

We gonna be up late getting this sucker done!

Got the stock front seats in it now but they are really too nice to use IMHO. I have some others from years ago that I wouldn't mind using- I'll bring them too. I can throw the fenders in the truck also. I have an 8274 I could throw on there but was thinking a low profile 8000 would prolly work/fit better on this truck. Don't have one for it yet though. Something tells me there will be plenty to do.

Roger that.

Did you want "A hoop" to behind dashboard ? Or in front ?

Cant remember that detail..

The Round up killed that brain cell holding that info

Matthew had a hard time flexing the rear of his 80 the other week since there's no longer any weight back there. It stayed stiff over everything he did. He's got 2nd gen FOR springs and shocks on it.... It really needs coil-overs.
In the meantime, ditch the swaybars, loose one bolt on the front, ditch the rear bumpstops all together but you'll never flex that much with no weight back there.

If Lorena's top comes off then I'm aiming for something similiar to this thing that rides on 40's and 80 series axles... I can see keeping everything you still have left but building this around it:

I can't wait! bring a bucket to hold all the bolts and brackets that will be coming off!

"A" hoop will really be down bars from the front halo and will come down over the dash near the original windshield line. I hope we can use your roll bender to make a dash bar right over the original windshield location. Clear as mud?

i have been following this Ftoy build as well. Ftoy design is got to be the " easiest" tube buggy to build. Just bending with very long tubes is the only downside... and the way it looks.

the brain cell that failed forgot that there is no to very little interference between dashboard and door/ A pillar.

because there aint no do no mo

yeah, but if you try to get too fancy or "unique" you run the risk of a fugging jungle gym on wheels.... I wanna stay with simple myself...
Honestly that drawing you sent me is an ftoy style without the front clip.... so that's kinda what I'm after... I plan on skins and even a roof. prolly flat stock in the stainless aluminum variety or whatever... We'll see.
I'm still not sure where I'm headed but i do know this: Lorena isn't worth $2000 so why not try my skills at tubing.

Packed and heading out shortly... Westbound and clown.
Should i bring a change of clothes for sushi?

Was going to swing by earlier but work got drawn out. Going to run in the morning then will come by that way prob 1030 11ish. Slabsides has decided to sell his truck and look for one with less rust and more lockers so I dont have a project to knock out in the morn. See everyone then.....

Cool! We were up to 3:30 last nite. Had some issuesto contend with to say the least. We getting it though!

Lets hear an update.

Well, it took a bit of figuring, but Greg was able to booger weld a folding chair back together.

Evidently the "cool kids" only post progress pics on facebook.

Not an expert, but that rig seems slightly modded....
