We have a 19,000 acre marsh federally protected between Biloxi and Pascagoula to protect the Mississippi Sandhill Crane.....all 130 of them.
After I left the Indoctrination session (visitors center) there were 2 males fighting to bang a lone female and they tumbled into the road in front of my 4Runner. I narrowly avoided making the number 128.

Wet long leaf pine savannah. Really cool ecosystem. Interestingly, it a fire sustained ecosystem that is also a wetland. Fire suppression and ditching for slash pine have majorly impacted habitats in that area.

Me too. I’ve thought all afternoon if I would be man enough to take them back to the HQ.

yeah we had 10 pigs present. Was about 50/50 on the trail ride. Good crew
Had been on the hunt for a Sequoia to replace my wife’s LX that sold recently and had one fall into my lap a month before selling the LX. Only catch was it needed a new engine and a day at the Griots Spa. I happy to say that the new engine is in as of Saturday morning at 2am and I just finished giving it a bath and a serious buffing. It is now ready to serve as a kid hauler for many years to come. Big thanks to @dnp for all the help getting this one back on the road.
