If you ever want a great workout, trim the hooves of a 1600lb horse who won't stand still. I'm bracing his leg against mine as he's trying to yank it forward, while clipping through a 1/4in of solid hoof.

Love the kerf marks. Keeping them?

Not 100% sure. Going to try to keep as much of the character as we can and still get a smooth top. It's going to be a balance to keep the kerfs, smooth it down and get some of the natural red color to come out of the wood. My dad pulled some and hit it with a hand sander and knocked down the rough edges leaving the kerfs, but didn't get much red. I think a pressure wash will go a long way to help the color though. These boards have been stacked in an old goat barn for over 30 years on my grandpas farm and most had over a 1/4" of dust on them when we pulled them out. Rough sawn 2"x12"x10', with a few 2"x10" in the mix. My dad got a trailer load of 1" from the same stack that he is going to use in their new room addition.

This is the first landcruiser I ever saw as a kid. It belonged to my uncles father in law. It was in pristine condition up until around 1995 when he gave it to my idiot cousin. Took the pic Saturday

With all the strife and drama in TX good to see Heather can still get out to enjoy some Tubing around the neighborhood :)

Hope all is well with those impacted by the storm. Wishing a speedy recovery.

Some valuable parts in that picture. See if you can rescue it so those fenders, hood and windshield can live again

What a great couple of kids... it was a joy and a pleasure being around them. I think Pat stated he has seen 40 year olds that whined and cried more while camping, love him long arming that 3 lb brownie. :)
