pic by me of my buddy walking back across...... good observation on the rails. I wasnt sure about that one. You can see the inner rail track isnt worn like the wider one is. Not sure if there was a standard change over time or like you said some smaller rail carts. Its a busy track; 4-5 crossings at night that blare their way into camp, light up the valley and rumble off in the distance blending with the river sounds.

hoping to head back this weekend or soon and push north from their through Paint Creek wilderness up to Viking mtn in Tennessee

Safety rail to keep freight cars that derail from colliding with the bridge structure or going into the drink.

An evening on the Big Laurel river just upstream of hot springs and south of hurricane. No luck on the line but beautiful surprise dead end spot on the river and perfect place to call home tonight.
