I am begining to think that a new tacoma with a rack and that removable RTT spider rack is the way to go. Hauling a trailer can be a pain in ass and a RTT tent on top of vehicle can be a pain also. Well this is neither.

Driving the 100 with the Foxwing today. First time on the interstate.

No noticeable wind noise with the windows up.

That's awesome.

But at over a grand, you can buy a trailer, new tires, rewire and paint it and then use it for other things when it isn't hauling around your RTT. :meh:

The weather both ways is too bad now. Was just Ashville with rain and I was OK walking around looking at Expo stuff in the rain but now Chattanouga going and Little River AL Saturday both 90%

I guess I'll pump the brakes on this. Hate it but it doesn't look like any good camping will be happening so I'll just stay at home and web expo wheel

Soooooo, prepping for the trip I had my guys over at Alpha Specialties in Pearl fab me up this simple bar @pmccraney and I dreamed up on the back lake last weekend.

I'll get some pics with the Foxwing deployed tomorrow. It keeps the Eno under the awning completely.

The nuts just need to be hand tight so no tools needed.

I'm going to pop it up on the roof after I paint it with some Quick Grips

Really cool and a great design to incorporate into what you've already got! That will come in handy, at some point.

Funny, I had learned about that Expo event in Asheville a month or so ago and had thought about going myself. However, when I figured out it was just a show of expo equipment, it sort of lost its appeal....

I'm working on a schedule / route / sites for an early November trip to the southwest Appalachians. Still trying to determine how much off-road can be included (practically) in the journey.

Yeah, but it'd be nice to have some off-the-beaten-path places to explore......used to know of a bunch of them, but I need to see if they're still useable.

The Appalachians in early fall are awesome.

(Ignore the anti-mining part of the video)

Haven't heard her in years - Just a Stone's Throw Away, the cover song, is a much better tune though. Thanks for bringing it up
