Stock 80 w/ open diff able to do Moab?
I have a question,
Would a Stock 80 w/ open diff able to do Moab?
you may wonder why?
My pink panty Crawler is in bad shape!
as it is, she's in the shop getting a head gasket done and some work on the head!
as I spoke w/ the guys doing the work they told me that the there's a slightly play in the combustion chamber. the pistons have a minor play, in other words, there might be a need for engine repairs sooner than I thought
As it is, there's no oil on spark plugs and no smoke coming out of the muffler.
She consumes oil about a 1/4 in a week and half but so does my wife's 80
I like my 80 but I don't even want to start adding part list of the repairs of overhauling the engine.
So I said fix the head and go to Moab!
I am not canceling my vacation to the 4wheeling MECCA for an over haul engine!
so what you al think? ...Is it my wife's 80 Moab wheeler?
Now near my house there's an 85 4runnerw/ 33's for sale for about $2000.00
I might just buy that Runners as a daily driver.
My Paloma is too heavy to drive around(cheap on diesel tho')
...and my 80, well....it is what it is (a gas guzzler and a heavy ass girl)
