Corrosion / Running Boards

Does anyone have running boards of the bare aluminum style (no plastic cover)?
If so, do your boards show any sign of corrosion, top side or underneath?

i have them and the steel brackets are showing light rust.
the alloy is fine... and these have been exposed to a nasty life.
