I've searched and found that the corner windows are different between a 40 and 45. Does anyone know if the seals from a 40 can be used on the 45 corner windows?

Thanks.:D

FJ45 pickup corner glass is shorter then the FJ40. You could probsbly cut FJ40 weather striping down. SOR still sells it. Probably still available from the dealer. I could check to see if my weatherstripping I bought years ago to restore mine has the Toyota part number.

Thanks.

Thanks for posting that. I checked my FJ45 parts box and realized my new glass weather stripping is with my new rear corner glass which is stored out of town. My bottom and top weather stripping for the hard top is in town if those numbers are needed. I posted those before so a search should bring them up.

Bikersmurf, to answer your original question.......yes, it can be done.

When the left rear corner glass blew out of my 45 on the highway one day, I ordered a new glass from Toyota. I just assumed the weatherstrip was not available, so I took one from the 72and newer 40 and forced it into the truck. I don't remember how many inches I cut off, but I can tell you that it only took one cut to make it fit, and it fits well enough that I never got around to changing it even though I have a stack of those weatherstrips now.

Best
