Coolant Tank adder

Hello all I plan to perform a coolant flush in a couple of days once I get my hands on some Toyota red. Currently when I check my reservoir it's pretty much empty but I don't run hot. When I look in the reservoir the little coolant that is there looks red. My question is can I go buy some coolant or distilled water for the time being just to get the level up in the reservoir until I perform the flush or should I leave well enough alone. My LC is a 00 and is new to me I have been driving it for only two weeks now. Thanks for the help.

Sure mix red 50/50 with de-mineralized (DM) water, not all distilled is. Fill reservoir to cold mark when cold (8 hour cool down) and top off radiator. Or if just a little use DM water only is ok.

Just throw some distilled water in there until you get the red and have time to flush it.

As long as you don't live in an area with freezing temperatures and just dump it into the reservoir and let it freeze...
