It would be hard to mount that to a gooseneck and use the slide......

Also, 102" is all you get to deal with on width so if you want one for the front of a trailer, you need a short 8' box model.

That one would be right for the Den Mom....

Thanks Daryl!....however, I might be taking out a few mailboxes on the way to superlift............OH Dam!..what am I talkin bout...I forgot that I quit.

That's right. I 'm sure the Excursion could pull doubles!

Would love to get one of these but it will be a 2012 purchase. Not gonna happen in 2010-2011 wheeling season.

I've been looking at it. I think I would at least go with 7/16. If I ever do, I going with 1/2,

What does warn tell you to run? Run that.

Really doesn't matter. Just will not be able to get 125' of the larger rope

Types/Manufactures of the rope is what I am looking for like:

Amsteel
Technora
Masterpull

I know some here have used different types

Warn uses 5/16 cable but I am not going that small

I swear mine has 3/8 on it? will try to check here in a minute.

Use same diameter as factory.

Www. Rockstomper.com for Amsteel. Best bang for buck. I have run it for 8 years. No issues.

I usually do 20' over the recommended length with rope.

Remember, the more you put on the less power the winch has when you have more on the spool.

I have 25' and 50' lengths of Amdteel for extensions I carry. It is light and comes in handy.

Thank you sir!

I'm running Amsteel on the 80. I went with 80' on the spool and had a 40' extension rope made. As Nolen said, less wraps on the spool = more power.

I believe the Warn 8274 has 3/8" out of the box. Lo-pro Warns generally have 5/16". If it were me I would run about 100' of 3/8" or better on the spool of the 8274 ( or 8274-50) and would have about 40-50' of extension rope made up. Just my 1/50th of a buck for ya.

Please be on the look out for a Warren wench for me.
