Toyota doesn't have a vehicle in production that is half as cool as that jeep. Jeep is listening to their offroad customers when they put a vehicle like the Rubicon.

IMO, it could whip a stock trail team FJC all over the trail. Winch, solid axle, transfer case, removable top etc..

However, the boring FJC will be on the road reliable much longer.
Stuff like this I guess keeps the old 4x4s valuable since nothing new is competing.

It's funny reading some of the comments on Pirate, they make it sound like it's a completely different area. Also, looks like their rates are set up differently than K2. Could be a fair bit cheaper if you're not bringing a family along.

In that area a mile away could be a completely different level of trails. K1 is a lot different than K2. I just wish they could get access to K1 again. I loved that place!

I wish I could have made it to K1. K2 was cool but for true rock crawlers. I feel like the stories K1 was a good all around park. The people would be the only reason for me to go back. Holy s*** what a drive and that was when I was living in DFW. No way I could do it from MS.
