Plant builds super small amount but their art.

All this discussion on roof racks has me thinking about building a hybrid rack that is half flat rack and half basket style. If I could as k a favor of some of the guys with different makes of RTT's.. Id like to get some width measurements to see how much flat rack surface would be required to fit a variety of tents. Help a Brotha out?

Not sure what exactly you are picturing but it sounds like this "expo" rack. The beauty of the design is it can be flipped either up or down.

I guess it would be similar. I am picturing a 360 degree rail around the basket portion with an expanded metal floor(think old Con-Fer) and a flat portion in front of that for a RTT. It would look a lot more pleasing with the tent in back and the basket in front but would be much better functioning the other way around.

I have a couple old basket racks laying around and might just play with the idea for a bit.

Close the top hatch and stand on the tailgate.

One thing I am beginning to put on the must have is this sunroof cut out. I use mine sunroof all the time even with the window closed to have daylight hit the cab.
Also pics with the RTT mounts. I think this is the oe for me. Now, just need some $$$ (it's not $500)
