I smashed my reverse light on my 40 the other day. It was a cheapo trailer light setup from autozone. I am really wanting a high powered LED module to replace it, and I was looking at this unit from Ebay:

Do you think that 24 Watts would be bright enough? These units from Hong Kong have gotten very good reviews, and the price is obviously right.

If it's like most LED's, the wattage used for the lumen output is very low. So, there's a chance 24 watts could produce a blinding light.

dbfrink is a new, to my knowledge, mudder. He has tried to contact the club through the webiste. Jeff I pointed him your way via PM. He wants to join. He also has a really good local mechanic and has spotted/talked to 2 other Oxford based cruisers guys.....the club probably knows them, I don't.

Funny. I, too, thought it was so good, I asked for the recipe. Here's what Charles sent back to me a couple of years ago:
Here is the link to the recipe I used. I used Canola oil since I couldn't find any soybean oil. Also, marinated the Tri tip for 24 hours instead of 6.

Costco sells it as a tri tip..i cooked a few they were good. Very lean cut of beef.
It's a California thing. Like Brisket in Texas.
A Personal Lesson about Drinking and Driving

With the holidays upon us I would like to share a personal experience with you all about drinking and driving after a "social session" with friends.

Well, this past Friday, I was out on a pre Christmas evening with long-lost friends. I had a few cocktails, followed by a handful of glasses of vintage red wine.
Despite the jolliness, I still had the sense to know that I was over the limit. That's when I decided to do what I have never done before: I took a cab home.
Sure enough, there was a police road block on the highway but, since it was a cab, they waved it past. I arrived home safely without incident.
This was a both a great relief and surprise because I had never driven a cab before. I don't even know where I got it from and, now that it is in my garage, I don't know what to do with it.
