Yup.

Took the Mrs. for her 50th birthday, and we had a big time. Stayed in San Antonio (VERY pleasantly surprised by that city) and drove the 130 toll to the track / Austin.

After hearing everyone mention it on here, we ate at a Rudy's for the first time (turned out it was the original Rudy's location in Leon Springs)

San Antonio far exceeded my expectations. Austin is cool also, but since we stayed in SA, we didn't spend as much time there.

I am looking into renting a diesel pusher for the race next year. I had tickets given to me but had to move last weekend. It looked badass.

WOW! If you look at any of the grandstand tickets, those could have been worth a lot of money!

As far as the race goes, a DP would be the WAY to go! Plenty of nearby RV parking, and the ability to stay on-site, even for just Sat. qualifying and Sun. race, would be AWESOME!

If anyone else wants to go, I'm pretty sure we'll be going back next year also. You won't be disappointed in the event (hopefully, the return of the turbo format next season will bring out some big racing!)

Yes...find an apt with a fenced in yard for dogs and garage for me...apt's there are way different than here.. we are moving the 20th of next month. Staying with family for the next few weeks..
