Looks like we’re going to be adding 4th Gen v8 4runners to our list of potential vehicles. The lady likes how they look better than the GX.(I actually prefer the Lexus styling) but I think we’d be happy in either!

I found a 2005 sport/ 177k miles. Ash blue with tan leather and the black wood trim. It drove really nice. But it was a little rustier underneath than I was expecting. Especially for a truck that has lived only in Texas and Colorado.

It also has the cracked dash. And I can’t find anything about the timing belt being done.

What’s everyone’s thoughts? I’ll add more pictures.

How much? Maintenance history? What’s your budget?

It’s just under $11k. Maintenance history is not extensive, but there is some. But nothing about timing belt. I’m gonna call the Lexus dealer that had it last and see if they have more info. My budget is around this price.

Have you ran the vin through
$11 is to much for me, with 170k, a cracked dash and that rust. I bet the kdss valves are probably rusted.

I need to run the VIN.

And yeah, I left the dealership before I posted the pictures. I just wanted some extra opinions.

I think what’s holding me to this one, is the interior color combo, it’s really nice looking. But I’ll probably continue my search.

No, to the vehicle above. Too much rust. The interior doesn’t look good for that asking price. I paid a little more for my ‘04 with 94k. It was almost flawless. 1 owner. Service records galore. Keep your eyes out for a southern truck. Like some, I spent some time everyday searching. I jumped on mine soon as it was posted. There was a list of people looking to buy it.

A bit late to the party, but I had a 120 before my current 100, and the short conclusion is that the 120 is a more rational vehicle. It does everything that a 100 does (apart from space and cool factor), and it is way cheaper to keep on the road.
Don't think for a minute that the 100 is heavier duty than the 120, because it is not. My 120 had 560k km's in the clock without major issues, while the 100 "only" has 270k km's, and is already falling apart.
