Sure it's possible just get the parts off a 90-93 hdj81 easy. I'm planing to do the same in the rear but keep the bigger front breaks.

i want to go with the 15' becoz the tires really cheap
Keep your 16" brake on your front axle. I did it the other way. 1992 15" Hdj converted to 16" brakes at front. 15" rims of the 70 series, means original design, but wider offset (30mm per wheel, that is in your currency 1" and a slice of toast). I had to grind the caliper, but just to lose some imperfactions.

The 16" brake is so much better, you would not believe it, even it is working with the same piston size. Tire is 33 x 10.5 BFG.

i like the 15' wheel becoz the tires really cheap on 15' than 16'. how the rear brake do i have to do anything to it?

I left it like it was before. Rear braking is something about 20% of the whole result. If your vehicle has been lifted, have a look to your dividing valve between front and back axle. Without that may be your front brakes will brake alone.

If the OP would explain in more detail we could help him/ her better.
I tried & failed at fitting 15s on fzj.... see my sig for details.

I don't care what tires they are and what your reasons are; this is a stupid thing to do. If you really have a boner for the tires, just get spacers to get whatever wheels you want to clear the calipers.
