Constant Power to Horn?

I grabbed a universal horn from autozone today, but ran into a problem. The wire to the horn is constantly hot no matter what. The steering wheel isnt the issue cause I disconnected that and it still has power. If I connect the horn it will just continuosly beep.


Any ideas why it is staying hot?

Rare to have a bad relay but that's what it sounds like...

Thanks Dan. Thats what others have said on Reno4x4.... Now to find it!

Is there a way to test a relay, or just replaced it and hope thats the issue?

Horn goes beep when grounded through the button on the steering wheel. If it's grounded betweeen horn and wheel, as in shorted at, say, the firewall, then you will still get constant beep.
