May be old news to some, but latest TT has an awesome write-up for '07 TLCA Individual Memeber of the Year. Very cool, and very deserving just from what I've observed in my short time as a member. Plus it was interesting to see the beginnings of the 40, was that a high school pic? :D

Thanks for all you do and have done, and we'll see ya on the trail. Oh, and nice shades BTW.

Yeah. Second on the congrats. Erik is very deserving of this honor and has been a huge help to our club and the landcruiser cause.

Thanks:beer:

Having been a TAC member since it's formation, in my opinion TAC wouldn't be around at all, much less be the great club that it is were it not for Erik's efforts.

Congrats and well deserved!

Bob's hit the nail on the head...not to mention the years Erik's put in as TLCA Secretary...you could make the case that the TLCA would be a very different club without the influence of Erik and the folks he's developed relationships with.

Good on ya, mate!

Steve

Thanks everyone.. I know of a bunch that deserve way more credit in the TLCA than I do.. I feel badly that I haven't been around as much lately but I promise.. I'll be back in the swing again.. Honestly I needed a break for a bit but will jump back in with both feet when i'm ready.
THe club and it's members are more of a family than many will ever know.. Thank you to everyone for keeping the spirit of a family oriented club going! You all are why we are live for this stuff!

And the question of the picture of the green FJ-40? Well.. Honestly there are very few in the club that recognize that picture.. I know of 2 current members that have seen that truck when it looked like that.. Zane and Chef.. That picture was the day I brought my FJ40 home on spring break in college from Seattle washington.. As you can tell, it was a tad smaller! It is indeed the same truck I have now.. With a couple add ons over the years. My FJ40 was my daily driver for about 4 years.

When I read the article tears were indeed flowing.. It's been a great time and looking forward to many more years of wheeling and having fun with the TLCA and TAC!

Erik..

Erik is DA MAN! I know for a fact I wouldn't have been enjoying the trails as much as I have had it not been for Eriks encouragement and welding skills.

Way to go Erik, YOU DA MAN!!!

EDIT: Added story to the TAC website (borrowed Flatland's post) TAC Website

I just received my trails and was thrilled to read this article. I can't think of anyone more deserving. Congratulations Erik, your enthusiasm and guidance has been very much appreciated. Seeing your green 40 in its “before” state just made my day…

I agree with everyone’s comments regarding Erik's contributions to TLCA and TAC. Without his leadership and enthusiasm put into this club we would not be as strong as we are today. I have known Erik most of my life so nothing said in this article surprises me. Erik will do anything for any one and I can say I'm a better man due to Erik’s friendship!

Well deserved Erik! Now lets grab a beer soon.. Way overdue!!! Buy the way, just because you are featured in a magazine doesn’t mean you will get any special treatment or free beer from me! Ha... ;)

Glad you all enjoyed the article & thanks to Chris & Tony for their contributions as well! There's nobody more deserving of the MOY honor than Erik! Even if I am a little biased. :)
