Up for your consideration is my 97 Collector's Edition (K292) in Desert Dune Pearl. I I have owned it for approximately one year and it has been an excellent cruiser. I bought it from a gentleman in Brentwood, TN who had it for the majority of its life. It has 281,503 miles, but had the head gasket replaced at 281,370 by McIntosh Imports in Mount Pleasant, SC due to poor HG job by previous owner. The previous owner replaced water pump, radiator, and fan clutch (blue clutch) recently before I bought it. McIntosh Imports replaced head gasket, valve cover gasket, plugs, plug wires, plug seals, distributor o-ring, knock sensor connectors, water outlet gasket, all coolant hoses and o-ring (bypass pipe), thermostat and gasket, oil cooler gasket, chain tensioner gasket, exhaust manifold gaskets, gas filter, and radiator cap. Engine oil was flushed several times while at the shop. The knuckles are dry. There is no rust anywhere on the vehicle. This truck is mechanically excellent. The motor is extremely quiet and smooth. The transmission shifts like butter. The sunroof works great. The AC is ice cold. The tires are Michelin's with excellent life left. The only cons: clear coat is peeling on hood, front seats are worn, and passenger rear door actuator does not work (I just leave it locked).
