Hello CLCer's,

I have made first contact with the good people over at CMTRA (Colorado Motorcycle Trail Riders Association).

If you remember from one of our earlier meetings, we were given their information and were told that they would be a good group to contact about land/trail issues (specifically grant writing).

Both of their main grant writers (Bill Alspach and Frank Lilawsa) have agreed to attend a future CLC meeting.

We have also been invited to meet at their club meeting on June 12th (@ Thunder and Buttons in Old Colorado City).

I will try to make the meeting, but was hoping someone with more knowledge about the subject that myself might like to join me.

Any takers?

Thanks,
-Travis

Great group of people. Rode their "Moose Run" last year & had a blast!!!

Looks like we're going to wait until we have a chance to discuss at a meeting what we hope to accomplish with CMTRA before we meet up with them.

So, I'll add it to the "new business" list for Tuesday.

Re-contact has been made. Hoping to get a member of their organization to come speak with us this summer.

UPDATE: Just got an email from one of their main grant writers and they are willing to help.

What month do you all think would work best? I'm thinking July/August so that we can get our ducks in a row (formulate some good questions, have a clear discussion planned, etc.).

What say you?
