Changing the name won't change the amount of new members. I just think maybe we should take a step back, and let things be the way the fall together. I for one, am having a great time.

If I would like to see anything, It would be that maybe more of our own existing club members would get out more. I thought I could make a difference by tackling the club schedule and making it something everyone would want to do. Then I realized that was impossible and have since given up. :meh:

Couldn't agree with you more Luke. Wanted to join when I owned a 4runner but just didn't have the time.

Only reason I didn't do the run yesterday was because I was planning to re-texture the baby's room ceiling on Sunday but my wife made last second plans and told me at 10pm friday  that her parents were coming to town Sat to help.

Don't give up on the club, we are what we are supposed to be.

I disagree simply because I don't understand where these rants are coming from. This has spilled outside the private section, that's fine at least it's gotten more active, more than 4 people posting. ;) My posts in there were geared towards what I have heard other people say. Wish the club was more active, or the other club has big turnouts at their BBQ. How many time have I heard Luke say that, sorry bro but I have to call you out on that one. One way to get more activity is to increase membership. Will we ever be Rising Sun size, no way. But can we get a bigger base with a bit more activity, possibly yes. My offer to step up holds but it sounds like there is not enough support or that support has changed. I have better things to do with my time than busy work.

David asked for discussion and people are getting pissy about other opinions. I for one was not necessarily advocating anything, just brainstorming. As for changing the name, no, this is a club about appreciating the Land Cruiser and it's legacy.

As for pleasing everybody with the trail schedule, you never will. People pick the one's they want to go on and stay home or do somethings else if they don't want to go. Plus anyone can post an impromptu run anytime.

BTW we all join for similar but likely somewhat different reasons. Won't bore you with mine.

I guess this may be considered "rant in nature", does that make me a rant-tard
