I've been looking at this, but that price tag for over 300k miles... I ran a Carfax report and called the shop who did the "engine rebuild" on this, they replaced a head gasket, so not really a rebuilt engine. Factory lockers seem to be more and more rare lately, but do they really command the price increases? If anyone is interested in this, let me know and I'll send over the Carfax report.

35's
Damage multipliers front and back
Huge subwoofer loose in the cargo area
No battery tire down bracket.

Looks TOTALLY ready to conquer a strip mall.

But seriously... yes, the lockers do add value to an 80. Probably something like 10% in today's market.
And I think that 80% of the time when you see "engine rebuild" on a 1FZFE engine, the seller is talking about HG that was blown.

Can't one add lockers to a truck for $3k, or so?

I agree with @ace10 about 'rebuilt'; I would need to see paperwork. Does it mean full rebuild? Just the head? Just the head gasket? Someone calling a head gasket a re-build is really pushing it. Without paperwork, it could also just be so many words.

Headgasket doesn't constitute a rebuild. Sellers need to be more clear and hopefully provide receipts for what was really completed.

I’ve been in contact with the seller too and he was pretty vague with me. Was the shop you spoke to in Texas?

Yeah, I called the shop, gave them the VIN and they looked up the maintenance. They were very clear that the only thing they replaced was the head gasket. I just attached the Carfax report I ran.

I'd stay away at least at this price. Mileage inconsistency on the Carfax, lack of records or knowledge of what's been done to the truck, and the dude is definitely flipping since he just bought it less than 2 months ago. My guess is he got it cheap and he's trying to sell for a huge gain since it has lockers. I'd say it's overpriced by at least $8k maybe more.

you can do it for cheaper than that. Most people don't even need both front and rear lockers, rear lockers suffice just fine. I plan on buying a LC with CDL and just add my own to the rear for cheaper than the ones in my area that have factory triple locks.
