My Coleman propane stove is burning with an orange flame . I changed the regulator but still have the orange flame. Taking off the burner I still get an orange flame.

The pipe from the tank is very rusty. Any Coleman gurus have a fix ? Thanks

Lol. It's a propane stove, that's the problem.

You can replace all the parts and it will be fine.

But, a white gas stove is immortal. Time to upgrade.

But with that said, a yellow flame usually means it's too rich, so look for cob webs in the manifold and similar problems, that prevent air from getting to the combustion.

Agree. Time for white gas (Coleman Fuel).

Want me to send you one? Be warned though. It's a slippery slope. But old school still rules in this one outpost of back country travel.

I had a white gas stove for over 20 years and switched over for convenience . I still have three stoves in my storage

Coleman white gas for sure.

Just returned from 5 days in Death Valley. This time I used my '48 or '49 425b stove that my wife found for $3.50. I spent another $12 and it preforms like a stallion. (Also looks like a stallion tried to beat it to death...but works fine)

Nothing terribly wrong with propane stuff...but operating an almost 70 year old stove/lantern is great.

They are easy enough to repair to top notch working condition, and parts are easy enough to come by...thru Old Coleman Parts.

Check out the Coleman thread.
