Cody, nice work with the push bar and lights. You have a space alt handy with all those lights you are powering now ?

No, should I. It seems to do just fine. Even with all lights on it pushes 11.6 volts at idol. And 12.2 going down the road.

Hopefully this weekend I can get the winch mounted. And might order some lights from ozium.com. They have awesome led products and great service. If anybody finds anything that they need before I order. Let me know

those arn`t good #`s U should C min 12.5 at idle & better than 13@2000

anything below 12.5 is draining the battery

It does better than those when nothing (lights) running. That is with every possible assessorie on.

Time to update...

For a couple weeks I have been watching reviews on a arb knockoff snorkel. After showing it to dad, he said he forgot to buy me a Christmas gift in 1976. About the 8 or 9th gift I've gotten for that year... Well it came in friday, wasn't home to sign, so went pick it up at fed ex on pinhook.. Got back to shop around 4:30. Messed around with brakes for a little bit, then zach came over, and I started marking it out... By 9:30 with about twenty minutes of holding the light by the fender to dry the paint. It was on... Fired it up and sweet. It sucks a lot of air. Didnt feel any coming from other places, so it seems to be tight.

Awhile back I got boarded at the camp. We have a big hill in the middle of the property so I got the tractor out and stated making some holes... I can fully flex the suspension. Pretty cool... Need to make some bump stop extenders, when fully flexed, my tie-rod supports the weight of the trick on passenger side, and pitman arm hits leafs on driver side...

Put some inner lights, redid the switches. Made it cleaner... Put some light strips outside...

Took rear brakes apart this weekend, driver side is all rusted and not adjusting properly, so gonna clean it all out and get it working correct again.

Looks good bud, and all lit up for those night rides :) The bump stop extenders will also help you from bending the shock shafts :)

Slight update. Figured I did t go through a ditch behind my property angled enough. Also figured I hadn't pressed the button for 4wd so I slid down in the back and high centered on the axles.

Dad came in the hd and gave me a tug. Couldn't get his front wheels to pull so figured 4wd doest work apparently. So used sheere power and wheel speed. :)

Well I went through it multiple times a couple days before. But I guess I picked a different line. And was in 2wd. That's what really killed me. :)

Got the brakes working sweet though. So nice to be able actually lock up all wheels now. Adjuster wasn't adjusting.

Have you used the winch yet Cody? curious to see how your mount holds up. Good to hear about the brakes that's a must have mod :)

No. I havnt gotten stuck in a place where I can use it. Might have to make me one of those land anchor spade things. :)

They are flat, so it's a strip, not a string. I have some inside also.. :D:D:D:D

It's pretty cool.... Gives the camp site a nice touch, used it the other night at a bonfire, and worked pretty cool.. Not super bright, but not dim either.. :D

I can see the inside strips being real nice for access in the cargo areas the LED kit I have in the 80 is awesome it's amazing how much more light they give off makes the old one bulb system look like its not even on. Need those back up LED lights can barley see mine through the tint at SI.

Not exactly what I was thinking it was "like" ;) lol

That must be it.... lol

Yeah, agreed. Although I don't need the "bling", I could always use more light in the cargo area... if thin enough, maybe around the bottom of the lift gate to light up the area when open.

I love em.. but it'll set you back ~ $55 for a set :crybaby:

Ok

Which is better for a slider. 2x3 rectangle tube, or 2x4. And which thickness. 3/16 or 1/4. I'm thinking a 2x4 3/16. Seems a lot already on market uses the 2x3, but I plan on weighting alot by the time I'm done, so I want strength.

This will be for the front to back piece. The frame connector will be a 2x2 3/16 tube. I already have.

Also. What is better. 1.5" Dom or 2" Dom. Again most of the things I see use the 1.5". Would the 2" be overkill

I know that bigger isn't always better, but I think on this situation it might.

Also does anybody have a 2" bender. I believe one person here has an 1.5" but I'm kinda really leaning towards the 2"...... Any thoughts

I thinks its a matter a preference bud the 3/16 1.5 dom is going to be a tad bit easier to work with and both will do the job. The Slee Sliders on the 80 are 2"x4" 3/16" wall rectangular tube with 1.5" DOM outer tube. Sliders for the 40 are 2x4 1/4 with 2 3/16 runners to the frame, I broke the single runners so came back and added a second one on top of it and that did the trick :)

I'm so confused. They have 62 headlights, but
Manual mirrors. I have a feeling this is not a fj. I'm betting hj-61. Plus it has the sombrero on the hood. That wasn't avalible in us. That's jdm. Grrr
