Hi guys, I will be taking the Ham course starting on the 12 that 2 meetings and a trip I have missed already not good
aaron kuit

I hope to be there if I'm not on a plane heading south!

Like others, I will be attending the Ham radio course.

Me too.

Are we planning on a Trail run on the Sunday? If so have we come up with a route yet? I have had a request for a more moderate route from some other FJ Cruiser owners that plan on attending.

We could take the trail we did last year just in reverse, and end up on the other side of the bridge shown below, then continue to harison west, split up in two to take the overgrown narrow trail we did last year and attempted it in the spring with Mat, Robert, Sopel and Steve, other group to take the gravel road then meet back at the begining of the hail creek trail, maybe split up again. We will discuss it at the meeting.
see you on thursday...

I wont be at the meeting but that sounds like it might work. Is there camping on the Inch creek side?

Sorry guys, I have to work thurs. night. Good news is I will have more free time to get out with the club. I wrote my last Trans. Canada exam today for my AME lisence and it's in the final stages of being processed. No more studying! I'll have more time to wrench on the truck which is great because I caused some seriuos damage to my 3B a couple weeks ago. I probably won't have it ready for the wipsaw which I was really hoping to go on. I'd like to take this oportunity to ask if anyone has an extra seat for the trip available?

Won't be able to make this meeting, as we are depositing the kids' pets with various friends on Thurs night before heading to Seattle for our flight to Mexico on Friday morning. There is not much new from IVOAC to report. Although I did manage to get Mermaid.5 going again on BC4X4.COM.:D He's now a mod on the highways section. I may release the IVOAC forum members on him for a bit of fun at BC4X4.COM. :bounce2: You will remember the exchanges with him here on MUD in the Alliance threads last winter before he got so flamed he decided it was too hot to play. I was never sure where he was from but it looks like it may be Cranbrook so perhaps Cruiser_Guy may know him. He just had a close meeting with a deer on his motor bike, so is laid up for a bit but I don't think he is sitting down much at the computer. ;)

The main new development for IVOAC is with private insurers outside of BC. Some companies are refusing to provide full insurance of grey market imported vehicles. Apparently they claim the parts are too expensive. Ya, like parts for a Ferrari aren't. For more info, check out this thread: http://www.ivoac.ca/pn/index.php?name=PNphpBB2&file=viewtopic&t=750

Hope the rest of the summer's events go well for the club and I'll see you all in Sept., John

Nope, I don't know him but I think I know someone who might!

Not to prolong this and hijack the thread but here are two threads on BC4X4.COM:

The first is the recent one and the second is the thread that went about a month during the winter after he departed MUD. Nick, I don't know if he comes off this head strong and so irrational in person but man he just doesn't get common sense or the facts on these vehicles here or anywhere else in the world. I had hoped that his collision with a deer had knocked some common sense into him. If he really thinks a driver hitting a deer in a Miata would suffer the same fate as a driver in a Nissan Safari he has been getting to much diesel exhaust. I am quite aware that he is not the main guy pulling the strings but he sure does help the string pullers push their agenda. Feel free to post to the first thread. Try to keep the deer in the equation so as not to hijack Skidmark's thread or start a new thread. Well, thats my report. Cheers, John

Yup, I know Mermaid.5, he is here in Cranbrook.

Cheers,
Nick

I didn't want to name you there Nick! Is he the guy you were asking about
Central American 'Cruisers?

Sounds like there's a few guys not going to make this meeting. That's too bad considering I picked up what I think is a great selection of raffle prizes!

To anyone who is coming, don't forget your ticket money.Good stuff to pick from;it supports the club;and it looks like pretty good odds to get something.:grinpimp:

See ya there,

Anyone coming from the Abby area needing a ride? I hope to be heading out by 5:30 at the latest from Abbotsford (Glen Mountain area) via Mission.
