Hey folks, This has been a long time coming, mostly because I forgot, but I did this pic for Boston Mangler so I figured I would spread it out to everyone. I mentioned I would post a pic when I first did this so...here it is My sliders hit the pinch weld a little on the drivers side creating a "clunk" that bugged the living sh*t out of me. Here is my fix... I folded a 10" piece of pipe strapping in half to about 5", pounded it flat, drilled a hole big enough to fit over the top of the U-bolt in the end where the two ends of the strap came together and hung it from the bolt between the FRONT slider bracket and the frame to about 1/3 to 1/2 of the way down the frame. The strap I used was a 10" piece of galvanized pipe strapping, about 1/16" thick (folded in half to 1/8") When you tighten everything down, the bottom of the bracket tightens closer to the frame, which, in turn, makes the slider sit just about 1/8" lower from the pinch weld, thusly eliminating said "CLUNK"! Hope this helps anyone who has this issue.
