tape on the template and post a pic - maybe that will help?

US install instructions:
1 - put AHC into High mode 😎
2 - Remove the fender liner (you can open the front half, but I decided to take out the whole thing in case this becomes a 2 day project and I need to drive)
3 - remove top of the air box (disconnect MAF and hose clamp)
4 - remove 3 10mm bolts holding down the air box, then remove the air box
5 - remove 2 10mm bolts and discard the stock air box intake

are their oblong to round adapters for the airbox?

No, but the connecting elbow will easily take the oblong shape! This was my biggest concern, but the job could be a 2-3 banana job once the template location is sorted out.

Yeah, it seems like the connector is pliable enough. They don't specifically call for it, but I am wondering if some additional silicon would be warranted.

here’s a note from Fabulous:
“I have attached pics of the fender on the facelift, the guard is squarer on the facelift model then what it is on the pre facelift.

We have also taken some pics of both templates on the facelift fender. The smaller template that sits parallel to the line on the fender is to suit the facelift model, whereas the larger template is to suit the pre facelift and as you can see the measurements don't work as well and the template does not sit parallel to that line on the fender.

Nathan has let me know that as a general rule of thumb, if you measure out the template on the fender and the bottom line of the template does not sit parallel to the body line on your fender, then it is the incorrect template.”

I wonder if they would be willing to send out the facelift templates.
Are you thinking our fenders are “more squared” or rounded? Can someone confirm that the shape of the TLC fender changed post facelift?

I lost daylight, but I’m hoping it will work out to be parallel when I measure it on.

I’d just like to have both to put on and compare with the pics you posted.

I think it’s hard to gauge otherwise.

@radman I cut mine yesterday, if you wait a couple hours I should have it all done and I can post pictures and maybe help guide you through any issues measuring. So far everything is lining up fine as I expected it to.

One thing I’ll mention for everyone doing the install, I suggest taking the lower portion of the airbox out and installing the 90 on the end then reinstalling the lower airbox with it attached. Little difficult to get it on there. Trying to do it on the truck would be near impossible is my guess. Added to that the provided hose clamp is definitely intended for the Australian airbox and not ours. It was a two person job to hold the hose clamp tight enough to start to thread it again. Yes I could get a larger one, this one does work though. I bent it to the curvature of the airbox inlet and it sealed it up tight.

sweet! You have a 2013 LX?

Awesome to hear. Do you have the larger template?

There are no landmarks on the template?
no, just some measurements from various parts of the fender. So we're dealing with 2 sets of measurements and 2 slightly different shapes.

You have to use measurements to define the landmarks. Seems crazy but I am not sure how else you would do it for this snorkel. Its not like an ARB where you can approximate based on the inside hole and then cover any fudge factor with the plastic housing.

The measurements are pretty straightforward, but as radman points out, it does not directly translate to the LX so its not clear which template and measurements might best fit.

I guess another option would be to have a very large template that used the fender edges, but not sure how practical that would be.

Although, @Wafflroo - if you have the hole cut and still haven't attached the snorkel, I would buy you a beer (or six) for some precise 2013 LX measurements 😂

I have a 2013. My template was the 2008- 10/2015.

I’m not going to lie, I did some guesstimating when it came to the measuring. They mentioned cutting out the template on the inside of the line, I did this and a tinny more. I had to go back last night a handful of times opening up the hole mostly on top and bottom. As in the sheet metal that runs parallel to the snorkel front to back (hope that’s clear). The measurements they provide definitely didn’t inspire confidence I was about to cut out the right space but it turned out fine.

Just cut out the template smaller than provided, test fit, file/grind, re test fit, and so on and it'll work out.

It’s on and secure but I’m contemplating taking it off and working a little more on the top and bottom edges as I previously mentioned. It still makes contact with the gasket they provided and I think I want the cutout to be more precise all the way around.

Looks like an amazing job! Did you use touch up on the exposed edges before you added the trim? And what did you use for cutting?
