so I grabbed the extended brake line mentioned i the tech trivia (NAPA #38009) and it looks good... both appropriate metric ends and it's longer as needed

but...

but the end that clips into the little bracket on the frame is different...

the stock line has a hex portion that fits so it can't turn in the hole, and is secured by two pressure clips, one on each side.

the NAPA line is round, and didn't come with any clips.

What's the deal and what do people normally do on this?

thanks

Take the hose back to the folks at Napa, along with the Toyota spring clip, and show them what you are looking for.

There are many brake line spring clips that will work with that hose....They have a brake hardware book and should not have a problem finding you a clip for that hose.

thanks, went back over there... it took two drones but they finally found and pulled out a kit of different size clips and handed me one that fit. (and charged me $0.63).

thanks

did you happen to get the clip part#, if so, please post up. Saves us from dealing with 17yo pimple faced "what year is it for drones." Thanks, Eric

I opened the hole up with a drill and used the stock clips...no problems but they could rotate I guess. the LC clips are a tighter fit but a couple light taps with a small hammer and in they go.
