Not if you are Luke.....
Yeah, no kidding. My rig is like your old sig mark "born to lose and destined to fail"
No Trevor, the steering box plate was never installed. I asked Allpro about that way back in 2004 and they said it wan't necessary. To tell you the truth, I believe it is the way my front bumper is designed that has contributed to the heaviest part of the failure. The winch was pulling on the front of the frame at a funny angle and has broken the body mount before. Plus the rig was wrecked when I got it and the frame was pulled out straight with a come-a-long and a couple of big trees. (hillbilly inginuity)
Got a new section of frame from U pull and pay today. Battery sawzall took it off in minutes, just have to figure out where to cut and splice it in so that I have room for fish plates. I am not worried about getting everything lined up lazer perfect, after one rollover and six years of hard abuse, I think that frame is already tweaked pretty good.
.............It's just time................and money..................and frustration....................and more time waiting 'till something else breaks...............
On a happy note, I had a great time at the party as well, glad to see everyone. food was awesome. I was really happy we never got drenched, despite the ominous looking sky.
I've been waiting a long time to use the "beating the dead horse" icon, lol
