Oh and yes I did get Uma home and tucked away. I am thinking that it might have been push rods but I will find out tomorrow.

Thanks again for putting it together! Everyone got home safe and everyone had fun so I would say it was a success as well!

I never thought I would like giving up the driver's seat. But I am having a blast seeing my kids enjoying what I like doing. I have a lot of confidence in the 80 series so I like to push her limits and see how proud she is doing intense lines.

So here is a little update on Uma I took the valve cover off to inspect the push rods thinking that they just didn't like running flat out for over an hour. I didn't notice any of the pushrods drastically bent, I even tried the roll test and they were still straight. I cycled the motor over by hand and it still spins and I was able to see all of the valves dancing like they should. So that leaves a bottom end problem. I drained the oil to see if it was shimmery I couldn't tell but it smelled burnt and gritty. I found some oil sitting in some of the galleys on the head and used a magnet to swirl it around and then it became shimmery. I have a feeling that I know which bearing it is and I think I know which one it is. I don't think I spun a bearing because I can still turn it over by hand But I think it is a main that got worn out. I think it is that one because I had to do some "modifying" when I put it in.
