My work schedule slows down between Christmas and New Year's and I'd like to do some wheeling. I've got family visiting and might snowboard some, but I'll have some free days and would love to get out there.
Anybody interested?

id love too test out the new gears...where and when you thinking?
i can usually go sat or sunday.

Saturday the 22nd or 29th? There's a chance I'll be in Breckenridge the 29th, but the 22nd should work. I also have weekdays free after Christmas.

I'm down for anywhere decently close. Just installed a DC rear drive shaft so upper level trails are calling my name now that I don't have to worry about the rear shaft under big articulation. Have any favorites?

2000UZJ (Nick, the LED light bar group buy dude) will be in town that weekend and I'd like to show him some nice CO trails. Maybe we try and at least coordinate something for the 29th? I'm open for other additional wheeling days, though.

I'm off work that whole week and am flexible for dates. What type of trail are you thinking about? Easy, hard, scenic, close-by, etc?

Let's go with scenic, close-by, and hard. :)

Ill go pretty much anywhere not too far except penrose...theose trails are too hard and not that scenic.

chinamans?

Chinaman's is about 2.5hrs from the springs, right? That's a bit far for a day trip for me. Maybe somewhere off old stage?

Headed to Mt. Rosa trail with the fam this afternoon. Will post back here when we're down the mountain.

Chinamans cant be more than 90 mins.

Good to know. Thanks.

Made it to the point on Mt. Rosa, not quite to the end. Family was ready to head home and get back to presents. :/

you must have went early today. went up about 3pm and that road has gotten icy and slippery! pretty not fun haha.

Yeah, we went up around 11:30 as came down at 2ish. I slid around a bit on Old Stage and the fiancé was not a happy camper. 381 wasn't too bad, but I didn't want to be up there when the sun dropped behind the mountains and everything got a lot colder.

Ok, spoke to Nick and got an idea of his schedule while in town. How about Eagle Rock and Bull Park either Friday or Saturday? The dude is staying here in the Springs and I'd rather not have him stuck in the car for 3hrs driving to/from Slaughterhouse after flying all the way out here.

I've run both trails but only Bull Park in the snow.

What say ye?

Bull Park makes for an excellent winter run. Not sure if I can go or not because relatives are coming to town. But, I may be able to bring one of them along. Bull Park and other trails in that area can be easily accessed from Hwy 67, eliminating the need to drive up that pesky Old Stage Road.

Yeah, I've done Bull Park in the snow and the views from the top are superb. Let me know if you'll be able to make it.

P.S. Just got the better half's blessing to "go play with my toy in the mountains" tomorrow... So I'll probably be up around that way tomorrow exploring and getting stuck.
