That's against the CA law too. If i remember correctly anything over 1,000 lbs needs brakes.

Yeah they're charging me couple hundred also.

Do you have a 7 pin on your cruiser? if so, where'd they mount it in relation to your Kaymar?

I put it behind the Kaymar on the DS up on the back side. If you've got the aux tank you may not have room. I can snap a pic if you want. I'd originally mounted it on the front and ripped it off in Truckhaven. I've whacked the rear several times with it in it's present position w/o problems.

I think the law is actually 1500, but regardless, I figured the trailer was way heavier, so went to the moving and storage place along the 55 between the 5 and 405. They've got a 'public' scale. Charged the troop $5 for weighing the trailer, normally $10 or so IIRC. Put brakes on very shortly after that!

All done. Just got it back. I would have done it myself but i didnt have time too this week.
I needed them to convert the 4 pin to 7 pin and do some hitch fab too at the same time. All worked out.

I harassed the owner to sell it. There arent any more for sale. I'l pm you what i paid.

No more mods for a long time , i promised yosh. No major mods at least.

I love those little trailers but they are a little pricey new. I had a customer turn over a used radar trailer a while back. It had an all aluminum box, which is kind of rare. I had dreams of making an adventure type trailer out of it. But I came to my senses, realized I'd never make time for it and gave it to a co-worker.

Yeah it will get cruiser wheels and be painted silver. Right now im just stoked to have it.
