I second checking the heater valve. Mine looked great on one side, but the other was really brittle. Cheap fix and maybe an hour to replace.

They can look fine on the outside but when you remove the hoses:Came across this thread recently, bought a new heater control valve and replaced it. So glad I did. 169K on the clock.
Anyone know what size the clamps are for these hoses are ?
I’ve all the hoses that connect to the valve or the U loop on the way and a new valve - but I was gonna swap the clamps out to breeze constant torque.
I’ve a bit of a seep so I figure I’ll just do it all at once.
