yepper.... 1 inch BL. I know people are pretty critical of them but its never been a problem for me and its nice having a little extra room between the body and frame.

man, every time I look at those pics it reminds me how much I need to get my daughter to wash it!

What is this washing you refer to? Is that a new thing?

sneaking in a bit of time on this. ;)
the main tube will be one piece, two are used for the picture.
2" tube will run thru the mounting brkt and wrap around the 1/4s

just a start ;)

Don't be teasing now. You can't drop those pics in and wait a month to show us the finished product.

I can be patient.

I'll look for the completed pics on Saturday, okay fine, Sunday.

Now stop posting and get welding!

WHAT? You don't wash a wheelin' rig! If you drove it to work, then maybe...but a wheelin rig? It might start breakin if you wash all the dirt off of it.:grinpimp: Plus it hides the dents. ;)

oooh that looks good so far. I have been brainstorming like mad since I saw this thread.

Jim, is there any way to do this style with drop for the stock rigs?

like here? how do you think it would hold up to normal abuse not rockcrawling?

how about tieing it in with the fender or old holes from the mudflaps?

just some random thoughts.

also the one peice tube could run the length of the back of the truck, to the sides and be the mount for the upper hoop.

like this?

Dirtgypsy, yes on all accounts.

i'm doing brokenparts first since he initiated this. plus his rig is morfidited, cut and lifted.

i may be able to do these a little at a time in between jobs.

:grinpimp:

Heck yeah... I love your bumpers man. Just a bit spendy (not to say they're not worth it). It's also more bumper than I need. I'm not looking for anything that has a swingout tire carrier or gas cans. Just a basic "wheelers" type of bumper without a lot of frills.... cheap, light, bolt-onish, and that offers good protection (bottom of the quarter pan and a bit of upper side of the quarter body).

I think what Marlin set for a price is pretty good... $250-$300ish. I really like the style of it too:

My current rear protection is pathedic.

I thinking something that protects the side and bottom (my daughter wanted to help model where:

I would like them more if he became a vendor complete with a Red star and supported MUD instead of showing the pics of the great work he does and then asking you to e-mail him for pricing on the custom builds you want.

I don't know how to become a vendor on this site or how to do the red star deal ? some one clue me in !! My pics are all I have for now, and I based my prices on design time, first build time , and materials. It's not as easy as it would seem to calculate all that in to put a fair price on it. There are a lot of great builders out there, and I tried to be competitive with them to also be fair to them. Everyone wants the good guy price including me, but time is money and building this stuff takes alot of both!! I can build you anything you want ,just tell me as well. I can build a $50.00 bumper, but thats ecxactly what you will get.

2badfjs, Hey 2bad love your work by the way!! I was wondering how high this mount would bring the bumper ? I remember broken parts having a body lift. This design might hang kinda low ? from your pics of the mount anyhow.
