Not many trails around here left to ride. Aetna is shut down, Big Fork is closed...about the only place to ride for free is Lewis Chapel, and thats getting more and more difficult to enter...on the other hand, Tom's 4x4 bought 500 acres down around Jasper and is in the process of clearing trails and expects it to be open late Feb / early Mar. Will be a 'pay to ride' park...similar to Wind Rock. Tom's is having a trail clearing day next weekend. Call Tom's for details...but its basically riding and cutting in new trails.

If anyone else knows of any other local trails that ARE still open, PLEASE let me know.
 
Thanks guys. Yup, I used to ride big fork a lot until it got shut down, I think some of the trails up in prentice cooper are still open, haven't been there in a while though. Other than that I've only been on a few powerline trails on Lookout that some of my highschool buddies know of, and out to mowberry mountain as my buddy has some hunting property out there. I've been up to windrock a few times with Terry and Stacy Knight and their crew too, but obviously that's more of a large planned trip ordeal.

I take the FJ over to Tom's whenever I need work done and have gotten to know Tom himself pretty well as he does most of the work on my FJ himself. I'm taking it in on Thursday actually to have them put my Icons and UCA's on, so I'll talk to him when I take it in and see. I may be going out sighting in the new rifle Saturday, but I'd like to make it down to Tom's new property to help out sometime. When/where is this New Years ride going to be?
 
I haven't tried it in a while, I've always gone in on the browns chapel road side, I know there is a huge rock quarry up there, and then there was the whole missing jeep ordeal...last I heard is there were a bunch of no tresspassing signs put up.
 
Not sure if he's an STLCA member or not, or on ih8mud, but there's a guy in my neighborhood in chatt, frost creek farms, that has a faded red FJ 60 running a front tube bumper, looks like around 4-5" of lift and I think 37" pizza cutters, also has a 1st gen SAS'ed tacoma with fox coilovers with what looks like 42" tires, has a turbo diesel conversion, he's always working on it in his back yard. I always pass his house when I'm running and just stop and check out the rigs. Never talked to him about his rigs, but both obviously see the trails. Wondering if anyone on here knows who he is?

I've been over in the blue room for a good while and decided I'd migrate over here considering the amount of bs that gets thrown around over there, as well as to meet some of the other Chattanooga Toyota 4x4'ers to hopefully get on the trails. Definitely not new to wheeling or chattanooga, grew up in and have been taking the FJ around trails in chattanooga and beyond for about 4 years now, but I go to school in Birmingham so I'm really only around during breaks. Anyways, I'm looking forward to meeting ya'll and hitting the trails, cheers!

Are we meetin on Tuesday the 5 ? The German place is fine with me as long as it's not trivia night Or where ever you choose.
 
Yes Tuesday the 5th. I'm fine with going back to the brewhaus but I'm pretty sure our waitress said they did trivia every Tuesday.

The past couple months have been rough. I rarely get sick (maybe a cold once a year) but I had the flu over Christmas and then a dry cough until it became bronchitis last week. I had quite the nice fever break last night. ugh

MH brings home plenty of kid disease from her middle school.
 
I have to go to Northern Tool before the meeting, so it does not matter to me which side of town it is on, just need to know where to go.
