I recently purchased a 2006 Land Cruiser and the 6 disk CD changer in the arm rest won't eject. The eject button itself looks like it should be illuminated but its not which made me think that it may be a fuse issue. Also the cigarette lighter doesn't work. Where can I find the fuse that might be responsible? I didn't get an owners manual with the truck and every search for the interior fuse box location has been less than successful. Any help would be most appreciated.

My 2004 did the exact same thing the other day, would not eject the changer cartridge. Also during this if you switched to the CD/DVD it would say "DVD ERROR" on the screen.

Drove around for two days, tried it again and now it's ejecting. Still would like to know what to do if it happens again. Maybe I need to start keeping an eye out on eBay for a used replacement.

It is possible (although I have not taken the DVD drive apart to verify) that a disk got stuck between being fully engaged with the drive and not all of the way back in the magazine. This would cause the drive to give an error and not allow the cartridge to eject. You may try going through your disks and seeing if the drive will read each, or at least try. This may "jiggle" something loose.

Just a thought...

My LC would not eject and would only show an "Error" signal when I pushed "CD"...I used needle-nose pliers and found the culprit - PO shoved religious and christian rock CDs in the player. Pulled those out w/ the force of an atom bomb and now: (1) does not eject; and, (2) no "error" signal. So my method took care of the error sign.

Looks like I'll need a new player.

Time for the MP3 player mod... Mine too. It ejects, but skips on everything, including new CDs.
