Another successful install of the CBI brackets. Used the heat mold method to clearance the cowl. Simple and fast.

How did you bolt the led bar on top to the roof ? how is the light output on it

LED bar is attached to the FrontRunner rack. I had the same bar on a 2017 T4R and loved it...between the roof and the LP9's up front, I have PLENTY of lighting.

FYI - selling my FrontRunner rack and accessories (not the LED bar) soon - nothing wrong with it, I just was complaining about my sunroof being blocked, so my wife and kids got me a Gobi for my birthday....ships next week.

That’s a generic bar, it works great. Two years and no condensation inside.

Although it rained today and there was condensation in one, already got the return arranged and another same set on the way. These I’ll give a spray test too and keep the best pair.

As far as light on the test bench they’re bright as all get out. Not yet wired on the truck.

The replacement light appears to be sealed, survived several days of rain at this point. Return / refund etc was painless thru Amazon, aside from the fact that it had to be done.

For anybody interested. Here are closeups of the bracket and how tight it gets coming out of the hood compartment. I have t seen any paint removal at this point.

Seems like heating a plastic is the best option.

I just did this install with the CBI bracket on a 2013 LX570. Insanely easy install. The heat gun trick is the absolute way to go.

Just heat the cowl with a heat gun and then close the hood. The cowl will shape around the bracket accordingly. No cutting required.
