Congrats, dude. I think this is a good move. What happens with the truck between now and April?
We have to transfer papers, get the plates transferred, and a few other things. It's still being kept at the lot where it was advertised at as far as I know.

Just started an Instagram page for the truck @sexy_lexy470. Not much on it right now but I will update that as well as this thread when we pick it up soon. T-14 days!

Picked the truck up yesterday. The battery was sending 15.5 volts to the battery which meant the voltage regulator was bad in it. We have a new alternator on the way and are taking the old one out

Faced a small dilemma with tires. My dads coworker gave us used Michelins off his '04 and we're looking at $320 or so for the tires and mounting and balancing. After that, we would end up upgrading to Cooper ST/Maxx's once we lift the truck. Now, because the AHC works, we thought about just getting the Coopers and saving the extra expense. Thoughts?

What's the difference in size and what are you going to do with the ahc? Sensor lift, stay stock..?
OEM sizer (275/65/r18 IIRC) and 295/70/R18 for the Coopers. Most likely going to lift the truck with OME due to the addition of bumpers down the road

Update. Front end swapped over and ARB being delivered next week. Exited to get this build rolling!

Just wanted to update this thread with pics of the front end swap, and pics of some damage in October. Could the damage be repaired DIY?

What happened to it?

I think it looks worth giving a shot DIY. I ordered a PDR kit from Amazon for like $60 and I'd be willing to bet an hour or two with it would have the passenger side looking at least mostly repaired.

We were doing some "class VI" trails that turned out to be harder and narrower than expected and we slid off a rock into a tree and it caused the dent. I've heard of the hot water and plunger method. That might work too

Certainly give it a shot. Where the dents are, it's not particularly 'pliable' metal. It's much stronger at the edges. I was able to get most of my dent out using that kit, but the forward most dent isn't budging from the outside. Before and after are swapped in the images.

That dent above the tail light is going to be a tough one to DIY because of the shape and strength of the metal in that spot. Certainly worth a try though!

Nice job on the front end swap. I stand my by recommendation of TEQ badging! ;)

Little update since I just remembered this thread existed. Front Runner dual battery system installed today, Lift and 295's installed back in May, absolutely love them. STEDI LED bulbs on order, as well as White Knuckle sliders.

Taking it out for the first time in October with Yankee Toys (first time off roading as well😁

Couple smaller things planned. Seat covers, new steering wheel, etc. Posting some pictures tonight.

Haven't been on this thread in a while! Been enjoying it since I got my license, adding some new additions! IGGEE seat covers, a steering wheel wrap, New rear bumper, and a few others. Planning on getting the 100k maintenance done before leaving for college, as well as a few small items to check off. Timing belt, water pump, radiator, heater tees, and hoses already done :)

sidenote: developed a small power steering leak, added some stop leak and new fluid, the issue has not come back since. Anything to be concerned about?

Pic time!
