catching air and damage?

I would also check the studs on the bottom of the steering arms, and the arms themselves.

Seems like every year there is someone at S&T that thinks Land Cruisers are indestructible. Sorry to say, they are not :D

at least he was landing in the sand, i'm sure that took some of the impact out. I agree, jumping one of these pigs is not the best, but for some small air i don't see a major issue.

Had he caught that amount of air and landed on pavement, i would be looking for other bent items.

Nice video. Are you running the factory LX springs?

come on if the rover boys can do it why cant we;)

now this guy landing on brick hard red clay i just dont know about...............

that last rover shot makes me wonder what the landing was like .....yikes

... maybe stop over at Tools shop and have him take a quick look too. ...

Like I'm going to climb under that lowered rig?

The problem is the front axle. If you look where the springs are located, if you land very hard, then the springs can bottom out and you "push" the wheels up and banana the axle around the spring buckets. The balls on the end is what bends up. Takes way less force than what one thinks.

Man that is a great picture!!! who is that masked man :grinpimp: flying in the lined 80?

by the way, it tracked straight as an arrow down the road. But, my steering wheel is off center.

Ouch! Poor 80, that is some awesome air though ;) Good to see pigs flying!

What type of spring/shock set-up have you got under there? Was the landing harsh?

Dude, that is freakin awesome. If you haven't watched the video, you've got to.

Old Man Emu stock height springs, everything else is stock. The landing was easy, just one little bounce and thats it. It wasnt like I was bangin my head on the ceiling, and not bone jarring like you would think. I feel totally confident in driving my truck home tomorrow 400 miles. Then I might convince Tools to crawl underneath my lowered rig and take a gander. Hey, did you guys know Tools wears womens thong underwear? The pink panties thing is for real,....checkin tire pressure on the last trail outing I seen it peeking out a little(you know because he wears a boys medium short sleeve dress shirt).

I would also check the weld where the knuckle actually mates with the axle housing. I saw one of those break this weekend on the beach.

-o-

Tools, you taking notes?, cuz i'll be knockin on your door sometime this week;)

Great pics! Also dont be too suprised if there is not something weakened, that has just not broken yet. Time will tell. 3 months down the road when something breaks for "no reason" just remember how fun the jump was. Oh did I mention great pics!

Great video too! Deffinately put it in wild wheeling videos!

So, your still thinkin that I'm going to climb under your lowered junk after you admitted to admiring my panties?:flipoff2::lol:
