My best guesstimate at pricing is $800 - $1000. Not cheap, but it will last for the life of the vehicle. I'd love to compete with China and sell them in sub $500 range, but that is not possible.

Flanges and factory style hangers are a must... as well as easy install removal. The design will copy the factory style dual in single out muffler, it will be fully braced/gusseted, and have a proper skid plate. Tubing will be an appropriate 16 gauge (.060 - .065 wall).

I can leave the muffler right out of there for those that want loud.

I wanna hear that

Ok. Flames are cool.

I'm In w/a Borla muff:)

I really don't care to make it noisy. But if you came up with a reasonable solution that tucked the exhaust up underneath so that it's higher than a steel bumper structure...I'd be interested. -Not the plastic bumper cover...but the bumper lines like Willy's rig...since his muffler became the lowest point after he got his high-clearance bumper.

I guess if it sounded a LITTLE meaner, that might be cool...but not enough to annoy the neighborhood.... ;)

I want my truck to sound like this. What do you think. Will it get the neighbor's attention?
Oh, we also need 500 more horsepower.

200 shot of nitrous. [emoji12]

TRD/Magnuson Supercharger, smaller pulley, long tube headers, and exhaust will get pretty close to that. The SC alone pushes 504hp.

What kind of $ does that add up to??

Muffler case is 24" x 10" x 5.5". The stock muffler is roughly 28" x 11.5" x 8". Most Borla Mufflers are a straight through absorption type. This design is a hybrid absorption with a single expansion chamber... it was designed for V8 engines.

If the rear resonator does not restrict the exhaust then leaving it in might be beneficial.
Maybe one of your options could be a mid-section bolt on.

If there is no recourse with removal of that resonater like others have stated what would be benefit with keeping it? Only because the Borla muffler is louder then stock perhaps?

I'll wager there is a sound difference w/o it, somewhere. Probably a bit more noticeable to pedestrians that have just been passed by, than by those in the vehicle. The Borla will be louder, but this particular unit is very mild as far as these types of mufflers go. Adding a rear muffler might be key to getting it as quiet as stock.

Another shot.
