hmmm, that's a good question. I wonder how the isuzu 4 banger compares to a 1fz in terms of weight? Or an NV4500 vs 80 automatic for that matter?
 
2" 80 series springs. 60 body is definitely lighter, I still have to scale the truck though.

there is also a 2" body lift in there to accommodate for the height of the motor

I've been trying to find a 'stock' reference measurement for the 80-series suspension. It would be nice to know what 'stock' actually was for comparison. I am going to be fighting a similar issue on a build I have going.
 
You may also want to look into the offset trunion bearings they sell at slee--basically a lazy man's cut 'n turn. If I win the lotto, I'm plunking a 60 body on my LX450 :cool:

I have Slee's2 degree trunion bearings and yellow bushings and worked for me. No plates, I have the J lift, stock DS, so far for over a year now, I didn't see any issues.
